Is Blue Light Harmful?
Ultraviolet light is absorbed by the front section of the eye, but high energy violet-blue ray (blue light) reach the retina. This is an ongoing topic of scientific research but current data suggests that reducing exposure to blue light before bed helps you fall asleep faster.
The jury is still out on how much of an effect blue light exposure contributes to macular degeneration in the eye, but why take the chance?
Our blue light lenses block harmful UV-A, UV-B and blue light rays providing excellent eye protection in a clear lens.
What is proven is that excess blue light does caue increased light scatter and mis-focus from screens which can easily be fixed with our glasses.
